Richard Brosch

Master planning and facilities planning for airports and the global aviation industry.

Richard Brosch is an accredited Airport Planner and Chartered Architect with extensive experience, extending over a 28 year period, of all the principal aspects of the built environment within the global aviation market. He has acted in a lead capacity with a specific remit for strategic and tactical airport planning and development issues, including Master Planning and the Architectural Design of specific airport facilities. Mr. Brosch has also participated in due diligence planning reviews on behalf of investors and government licensing authorities as well as aviation management staff training programs.

His experience of the aviation operational environment is based on his tenure at both Manchester and Newcastle International Airports, UK, his subsequent employment at BAE Systems culminating in the establishment of an independent Consultancy in 2000. Working with major international consultants and consortia Richard was able to develop and customise a broad range of numerical and graphic tools addressing the full spectrum of requirements from client briefing, capacity and functional audits to end user satisfaction appraisal.

His recent activities include master planning input into a National Aviation Corporatization Program in Sudan as well as an audit of the core performance criteria and regulatory compliance of the five year investment plans at London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports, on behalf of the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the Competition Commission.

  • Preparing a comprehensive master plan for New Delhi International Airport, on behalf of Mott MacDonald Ltd.
  • Consultancy services to the International Air Transport Association since the year 2000 to the present day
  • Working with the Cape Verdean Airports Authority (ASA) to establish and implement a number of Master Plans and Terminal facility designs across the Atlantic archipelago (10 years). As well as a Cape Verdean governmental sponsored technical mission to Mali in 2005.
  • Participating in passenger terminal capacity audits at Athens, Faro, Oporto, Ponta Delgada and Antalya airports with a view to validating the original system design parameters and advising on future core process logistics.
  • Planning for Guayaquil, Tocumen, and Polokwane airports
  • Peer review activities at Warsaw, Barcelona and Luanda, Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro and St. Maartens airports on behalf of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Dennis Connolly

Airline and Air Cargo operations consultant.

An aviation business consultant with extensive knowledge of the airline and air cargo industry, after an extensive career holding senior management positions with British Airways. His particular knowledge and skills are in the cargo sector of the industry with an in depth knowledge of both commercial and operational aspects of that sector.

Tim Gibbs

Military and civil aircraft maintenance

Tim Gibbs has over 40 years experience of military and civil aircraft maintenance, holding Supervisory and Managerial positions with a number of UK Operators and MROs. Following apprentice training at RAF Halton, Tim carried out maintenance on a range of military aircraft before joining British Island Airways, carrying out maintenance on tubo prop aircraft, following this, holding positions with Jersey European and Channel Express maintaining medium and large jet types.

Tim holds a Part 66 B1,B2 and C licence, with type ratings ranging from light aircraft below 5,700 kg to Airbus aircraft. Registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer and is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Richard Moat

Richard is a skilled and persuasive communicator, who led the Aviation team within Capita Symonds until forming his own consultancy. He has over 35 years experience at senior levels within the aviation industry.

With extensive airport operational and management experience at Board level, Richard has led teams in airfield, terminal and cargo operations and infrastructure development, including customer service management of over 350 manual and staff graded personnel, as well as responsibility for project management and engineering based professionals.

Barbara Paterson

David Preston

Airport operations analysis, optimisation and diligence

David has worked for airport owners, airport investors and airlines in numerous locations around the globe. He specialises in airport operations analysis and optimisation as well as operational due diligence.

Experience:

Improving the performance of airport infrastructure. By applying industrial engineering techniques and analytical expertise, David has assessed, designed and implemented practical solutions that work in live operating environments. In addition he has provided 3D design expertise for the conceptual phases of design of airport infrastructure.

Chris Barratt

Aviation Security Consultant

Chris started his career in the British Armed Forces before joining Sussex Police. During 15 years on the Counter Terrorist Wing at Gatwick Airport, Chris trained as a search advisor and received extra-ordinary training in physical and procedural security as well as counter-sabotage surveys.

His work included extensive involvement with airlines, airport authorities and regulators. He also assisted the UK Civil Aviation Authority in the introduction of armed police officers on aircraft. During his time with the police, a number of airlines approached Chris to undertake training and other work for them.

A licensed pilot, Chris left the Police and formed Avsec Global Ltd. His work has taken him across seven continents working with airlines, airports, entities and governments.

Chris is also a Short Term Expert for the EU funded TRACECA 2 project. At this time, he trained and worked for a UK airline as Safety and Security Manager where he was responsible for the design and implementation of the safety management system (SMS).

Chris has an MSc in Security and Risk Management, and is a visiting lecturer at the Emirates Aviation University in Dubai on the Aviation Security MSc programme.
